Why the Butterfly Design Works
The innovative butterfly shape serves dual purposes beautifully. The textured wings create perfect surfaces for spreading treats, while the body provides a gripping point for chewing. The symmetrical design allows dogs to hold the toy between their paws while licking or chewing from different angles. The varied textures on the wings keep dogs engaged whether they're chewing or licking, making it a versatile enrichment solution.
Enrichment Wings
The textured butterfly wings are specifically designed to hold spreads like peanut butter, yogurt, wet food, or purées. The wing surfaces keep treats in place while dogs lick, extending engagement time and providing calming enrichment benefits. Freeze the toy with spreads for even longer-lasting enrichment — perfect for hot days or extended alone time.
Dental Health Benefits
Regular chewing on appropriate nylon toys helps promote dental health by reducing plaque and tartar buildup. The chewing action massages gums and helps clean teeth surfaces, while the textured wing pattern provides additional cleaning action.
Safety and Supervision
While the Butterfly is built for durability, no dog toy is indestructible. Always supervise your dog during use, especially with power chewers. Remove and replace the toy if it becomes damaged, if pieces break off, or if sharp edges develop. When using for enrichment, ensure spreads are dog-safe and appropriate for your dog's diet. Proper supervision ensures safe, enjoyable chewing and enrichment sessions every time.
